Amber Benson bio

Amber Benson is a talented American actress who has worked as a performer, writer, director and producer. Most famously, she is known for her role as Tara Maclay on the TV series Buffy the Vampire Slayer and was also the director and starred in her own film Chance and Lovers Liars & Lunatics. She also starred Kiss the Bride. Benson was born January 8 1977 in Birmingham Alabama the daughter of Diane and Edward Benson a psychiatrist. Danielle is her older sister, and is an artist. Benson attended a Reform Jewish synagogue while growing up. Her mother was a Southern Baptist and raised Jewish by her father is also Jewish. Benson's career continues to grow after the conclusion of Buffy. Benson was a part of films like The Killing Jar, and shows like Morganville The Series.
