Carol Lynley

Lynley was the daughter of an Irish father and an Irish father and a New England mother. Prior to becoming an actor she started modeling as a young model. She was awarded the Theatre World Award in 1956-57 for her role in The Potting Shed. Lynley began her career in film in the year 1958 with the Disney film The Light in the Forest The Light in the Forest, which was followed by Holiday for Lovers (1959) and Blue Denim (1959). In 1959 she was nominated for the Golden Globe Award for Most Promising Newcomer - Female for the film The Light in the Forest. A year later she was nominated for the Golden Globe Award for Most Promising Newcomer Female for the film Blue Denim.
